Water Polo (M)
The Men’s Water Polo Club at Texas Tech University is a student-run organization that offers all current university students the opportunity to participate in the vibrant and dynamic sport of water polo. The club offers opportunities to all students, regardless of background; whether you are a long-time veteran of the polo pool, or just an interested beginner, come check out the club, we have a place for you! We believe in practicing hard but having fun, and play scrimmage matches along with our swimming practices and skill drills.
The Men’s Water Polo Club plays three competitive tournaments in the fall as a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association. The club also plays spring tournaments against in-state rivals, as well as competing on the national level at the Club Championships. The Men’s Water Polo Club is currently ranked seventh in the nation and first in the state of the Texas, and hopes to continue to build on those promising results.
The Men’s Water Polo Club program also provides members with leadership opportunities through being involved with club management, and the chance to develop diverse skillsets while arranging club travel, organizing tournaments or matches, and managing club policies and practices.
