Veteran Advance Payment
Advanced payment requests are accepted until seven weeks before New Student Registration each semester. The request can be a written statement, dated with your file number and address on it or through a signature on Block 16 of the Enrollment Certification form 22-1999. A student may request advanced pay if he/she has been out of school a full calendar month without pay and is not on active duty or terminal leave. Advanced checks are sent to Tech’s VA Office and can be released to a student once he/she registers, shows proper I.D., and signs a receipt for the check. After the advanced check, students will receive a month’s delay in the next check mailed to them. Students who do not register cannot have their check. It will be returned to the U.S. Treasury and the VARO will be notified.
Some schools do not honor advanced payment. This is a privilege Tech offers in cooperation with the VA!
