Veteran Tutorial Assistance
Tutorial Assistance for Chapters 30, 34/30, 32, 1606, and 35 is available to help with the cost of a private tutor. The student must attend school half-time or more and he/she can receive up to $100 per calendar month. This additional money is paid without any charges against VA Educational Benefits for Chapters 34/30 and 35. However, Chapters 30 and 32 will be charged against their entitlement when they go over $600 in tutorial assistance. The maximum amount payable is $1200. Students are responsible for paying their tutor; then, VA will reimburse him/her. Tutors must be approved through each Department. Stop by the VA office for approval forms!
