Texas Tech University Ranked in Top 3 Percent of Universities in the World

Texas Tech University has once again been recognized as a leader among the world's universities, ranking in the top 3 percent of the 18,000 institutions evaluated in the 2018-19 Center for World University Rankings list. Texas Tech jumped 63 spots, from the No. 500 spot in 2017 to No. 437 this year, in the rankings announced this week. The university also is ranked No. 126 among universities in the U.S. and No. 75 among U.S. public institutions.

“Texas Tech continues to gain increasing recognition for the quality of its academic programs and scholarship,” said Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec. “Inclusion in this list of top institutions recognizes Texas Tech's reputation as a leader in higher education and its growing global stature.”
