HRPP Team

HRPP supports the institution in promoting ethical conduct of human research and educates Texas Tech faculty, staff, and students regarding compliance and ethics. HRPP maintains all IRB records including meeting agendas and minutes, policies, regulations, reference materials, and IRB protocols. HRPP provides research support through IRB development, web-based IRB submission, reliance agreements, and post approval monitoring.

Participants, researchers, IRB members, and others who have human research related complaints, concerns, recommendations, or reports of suspected violations are encouraged to contact Dr. CassiDe Street, Director of Human Research Protection Program. All inquiries are taken seriously and will be directed to the appropriate personnel.

Director, HRPP

CassiDe Street serves as the Director for the Human Research Protection Program. She serves as the direct liaison to the IRB chair and associate chair. CassiDe assists Texas Tech University researchers with constructing and submitting IRBs to gain approval to conduct human subjects research. Research Compliance Specialist I, HRPP

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2000, and a Master of Science in Bioethics from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2022.  Rebecca brings a variety of experience from her work in multiple industries including municipal, medical, non-profit, and transportation sectors.  Recently retired from a management position in the airline industry, Rebecca was drawn back to her alma mater to combine her education and experience with her passion for compliance and research ethics.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, growing organic vegetables, and photography.
