Healthy People 2023 Most Healthy People 2030 objectives are core, or measurable, objectives that are associated with targets for the decade. Core objectives reflect high-priority public health issues and are associated with evidence-based interventions. 
International Association for the Study of Obesity (IASO) Obesity has been a growing health problem since infectious diseases and nutrient deficiencies began to fade in the first half of the 20th century.  Whilst the earliest identified discussions on the need for an organization addressing obesity took place in Great Britain as early as 1961, it was not until 1966 that a steering committee was formed.  The first meeting of the "Obesity Association" was held in London in 1967.

National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) NIDDK conducts and supports basic and clinical research on many of the most serious disease affecting public health
National Institute of Health - Obesity Research  The website presents information about NIH-supported research to facilitate progress towards obesity prevention and treatment.
National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) To improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and application of childhood obesity research through enhanced coordination and collaboration.  This group is spearheaded by the NIH, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, CDC and USDA to form NCCOR. 
National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) The mission of the Obesity Research Strategic Core (ORSC) is to lead and promote a multilevel, integrative approach to childhood and maternal obesity and related chronic diseases by coalescing obesity research and translation activities across the NICHD. 
Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) The Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) is the lead Office at the NIH responsible for assessing, facilitating, and stimulating research in disease prevention and health promotion, and disseminating the results of this research to improve public health. 
National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) The mission of NIMHD is to lead scientific research to improve minority health and eliminate health disparities.

Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) ORWH stimulates and encourages basic and clinical research on the role of sex and gender in health and disease, and sets NIH research priorities in diseases, disorders, and conditions that primarily affect women. 
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) The USDA provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on sound public policy, the best available science, and efficient management.
