Beat The Blame Game

Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 / 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
@ The Escondido Theatre in the SUB

Victim blaming. The greatest barrier to holding rapists accountable, and giving survivors the critical support they need. Whether it's slut shaming, or the almost recreational hostility that follows victims when they report, Beat the Blame Game (BTBG) is the powerful reality check that provides Red Raiders with the tools they need to challenge the haters.

This program is designed to:

Help students, administrators, faculty, and the entire academic community recognize and reduce victim blaming in themselves and others
• Create a culture that holds perpetrators accountable
• Increase the likelihood of bystander intervention
• Actively involve students in making real change in their communities
