Faculty/Staff Title IX Series

RISE is proud to partner with the Dean of Students Office, the Office for Student Rights & Resolution, Student Counseling Center and the Gender Equity Council to present the Title IX Series. Each session will be offered in TLPDC 153, unless otherwise noted. Registration is available through the TLPDC site. Sessions are open to all TTU Faculty and Staff.

Title IX for Graduate Students

January 20th, 1:00-2:00 pm, TLPDC 153

Event Description: Join Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE), the Dean of Students Office, the Office for Student Rights & Resolution, the Student Counseling Center, and the Gender Equity Council in the TLPDC for a look at the unique Title IX concerns for graduate students. Hear from two current Texas Tech graduate students, the Director of support resources, and the Dean of Students. This event is open to all TTU Graduate Students, Faculty & Staff. Registration is required, and lunch is provided.

Understanding Partner Violence

Event Description: Join Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE), the Dean of Students Office, Student Resolution Center, the Student Counseling Center, and the Gender Equity Council in the TLPDC for a look at the impact of partner violence on Texas Tech students. Learn about available resources, support services, and reporting options. This event is open to all TTU Faculty & Staff. Registration is required, and lunch is provided.

Alcohol & Consent

Event Description: Join Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE), the Dean of Students Office, Student Resolution Center, the Student Counseling Center, and the Gender Equity Council in the TLPDC for a workshop focusing on the impact of Alcohol and Other Drugs on the ability to give/obtain consent. Participants will practice with case studies assessing incapacitation and the "reasonable person standard" in this interactive session. This event is open to all TTU Faculty & Staff. This session is highly recommended for Hearing Panel Administrators. Registration is required, and lunch is provided.

Title IX Drive In Conference

April 5 & 6th, Student Union Building

Event Description: Texas Tech hosts its first ever Title IX Drive In Conference, including a Pre-Conference Prevention track. Free registration is available to TTU students, faculty and staff. For more details, visit the Conference Web Page
