The links listed below allow students currently enrolled with Student Disability Services to apply for services, request LOAs, apply for scholarships, request interpreters, and access the SDS drop-in tutoring schedule. In addition to reading through other important resources, students can also review their rights and responsibilities regarding their accommodations.
It is the responsibility of the student to request new LOAson the AIM System for each semester that you are going to need accommodations. Every semester, Student Disability Services sets a target date for all students to request current Letters of Accommodation (and/or meet with their SDS counselor to complete an initial intake meeting). University policy allows instructors one week to set up accommodations once presented with LOAs. With that in mind, this target date is set to assist the student in receiving the necessary accommodations within their current semester. The Fall 2016 target date is Monday, November 28, 2016. Every student who needs in-class accommodations for the Fall 2016 semester needs to request LOAs by this date, or have an initial intake meeting scheduled on or before this day to have accommodations implemented. The Spring 2017 target date is Friday, April 28, 2017.
Requests for interpreter services should be completed immediately following your registration for classes in order to assure this accommodation is provided on the first day of class. You can request an interpreter for your meeting with instructors to discuss your LOAs.
