This campaign provides state agency employees the opportunity to give to local charities through an employer-based campaign. A local SECC committee evaluates charities based upon strict guidelines and recommends which ones will be included in the local SECC campaign.

Texas Tech has been involved with the State of Texas SECC since the beginning of the campaign in 1994. Since inception, the combined contributions by university, system, and health sciences center employees have exceeded $7,400,000 and made a tremendous difference in the Lubbock community. Texas Tech employees from the university, the health sciences center, and system administration contribute almost 90 percent of the total SECC campaign goal and have a major impact on Lubbock, regional and national charities.

The Texas Tech Lone Star Club was created during the first year of the campaign to recognize contributors whose giving matched or exceeded contribution levels of 1% of annual salary or 1 hour of pay each month. You will see Lone Star mugs proudly displayed in offices at our multiple campuses all year long. It's another grand tradition that began deep in the hearts of generous Texas Tech employees and continues each year. Leadership Circle is the recognition level for donors who give $1000 or more.

Each department has a campaign coordinator who will help you with the details of your department's campaign and give you the opportunity to contribute to the charity of your choice. Please explore this Web site for additional information.
