Hello fellow Red Raiders!
My name is Luke Cotton, I am a Senior Global Supply Change Management major from League City, Texas and I will have the pleasure of serving as your Student Body President this school year. During my time here at Texas Tech I have had the pleasure of being on Dean’s list multiple times and am a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Ducks Unlimited, Energy Commerce Association and of course Student Government Association. Texas Tech has been so great to me and I am truly grateful to be here in Lubbock with its small town feel but big city amenities.
A few agenda items for this school year are increase student athletics attendance, actively engage the student body while being transparent with the students, and many other initiatives that will go unnamed for now.
The SGA President is responsible for giving reports on behalf of the students to the Board of Regents, setting the SGA budget, overseeing day to day activities in the SGA office, approving student organization allocation usage, speaking to incoming freshmen during Red Raider Orientation, chair the student service fee, implement new ideas on behalf of the student body.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions you have our office number is 806-742-3631 and our office location is room 302 of the Student Union Building. WRECK’EM!!
