Looking for quick information about coursework? The major is described here. Please contact Ms. Brenda Amin for an advising appointment at brenda.amin@ttu.edu at least once during each long semester.
The social work faculty are available to answer questions for you about the profession and majoring in social work at TTU. However, you can find a lot of good information about our program in the Student Handbook.
Field placement is a big part of your social work education and we know that students are often excited and nervous about that capstone semester. You can learn a lot about the process in the Field Education Manual. Further, Dr. Helen Morrow is the Director of Field Education and her office is located in room 164.
Have questions about licensing following your degree? This USC site includes information about social work licensing in all 50 states. You can get more detailed information about licensing in Texas at the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.

While any student can bring issues to the social work faculty at any time, it is the duty of the Student Representatives to collect student concerns, comments, or questions about the program and bring them to the faculty for consideration. The Student Representative may collect these issues through any legal and legitimate means. In other words, he/she may solicit these through e-mail, in writing, or through meetings of the Student Association of Social Workers. Student reps meet with the faculty at least once per semester. Elections for new student reps are held at the beginning of each long semester. Student reps must be social work majors who have been accepted into candidacy in the Social Work Program, who are in good standing in the program, and who are enrolled in SW 3332. Student reps serve for two long semesters.
