Joshua
Anderson is in his third year as Head Cheerleading Coach
and Spirit Coordinator at Texas Tech University.
Previously, he spent nine years coaching collegiate
cheerleading at Illinois Wesleyan University, Northern
Illinois University, and Kansas State University.
His recent career highlights include leading squads to
national top five finishes including two consecutive 5th
place finishes at Texas Tech University.
In addition
to coaching, Anderson has been a cheerleader,
choreographer, instructor, and judge. He graduated
from Illinois State University, where he led the
Redbirds to a 2nd place finish at the 2002 Universal
Cheerleaders Association (UCA) college national
competition. His choreography has earned squads
first place finishes in four different state
competitions.
Anderson has
worked on the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA)
staff for twelve years and serves as a head instructor.
During this time with NCA, Anderson has been awarded
numerous awards, including Top Instructor of the
Year.
He also head judges at local, state, regional, and
national levels for NCA, World Spirit Federation,
All-Star Challenge, and Cheerleaders of America.
Anderson has also serves a speaker for coaches
conferences for state and nationally recognized
organizations.
