A survey was issued to the attending Senate members requesting suggestions and input for use in the enhancement of the University Portal. TTU services that could be seen in the portal include : course registration, financial aid information, budget information, sports information, TTU sponsored entertainment information, University calendar, housing and dining information/registration, tech express balances/ information, student organization information, staff organization information, faculty organization information, course/degree advising information, TechFIM balances, University Daily headlines, campus webcams, vacation/sick leave balances, and email. General services that could be seen in the portal include: weather, local news, local entertainment information, stocks, movie listings, and TV listings.

New Business and Issues
Russell Crosby is leaving Texas Tech moving to the City of Lubbock – Jeff Burns will replace him on the Executive Board
Camille Chen will be leaving to attend graduate school – Sandy Ellis will replace her on the Staff Senate
General elections will take place in April. 15 senators will be leaving: 4 Clerical, 2 Crafts and Trade, 2 Executive, 4 Professional, 2 Service and 1 Technical/Paraprofessional
A motion was made by Doug Crocket that the attendance rules be waived for David Naugher, seconded by Bill McDonald – motion passed unanimously.Adjourn
