    12 week intense life skills program
    mentoring program
    offers vocational training after completion of 12 week program in culinary skills, commercial housekeeping and commercial laundry
    instills a new work ethic
    works in partnership with LISD, TTU-RHIM, South Plains College , local churches, community agencies, Lubbock employers, Lubbock business, and YOU!

    May 10, 2004 ballots out
    May 24, 2004 ballots due, committee will meet to count


    President's Report
    minutes will be going to electronic distribution with provisions being made for the Service EEO to still receive those on hard copy starting with the April minutes
    hard copy minutes will still be distributed through the end of the current Senate term
    motion made to accept electronic minutes made by Richard Verrone, seconded by Carol Ann Stanley – motion passed

    New Business
    cycles in 12-15 day intervals
    FY05 Holiday schedule lists 12 days off
    17 mandated holidays from the state legislature
    6 of these fall on weekends
    12 are allotted for time off per state agency
    A question was raised from the floor, is there a stance we as employees can take to make the days off a standard amount of days?
    Research will be done to find out the guidelines and reasoning of how the holiday schedule is created
    Patrick Hancock would like to thank the phone bank volunteers for Festival 2004
