EMTSEF 2004 CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
Thursday April 1, 2004 Check-in is open until 9:00 p.m., and SRC is open until 10:00 p.m.
- 1. When you arrive at the United Spirit Arena, you will need to park in the parking lot on the
North side of the building
and check-in at the registration tables before unloading your project. The
registration tables are located just inside the West entrance (facing Indiana Avenue, where the ticket booth is located). At check-in, you will receive your official EMTSEF nametag along with your
registration packet. An official fair nametag is required for admission to any EMTSEF event. Wear your nametag at all times during the Science Fair. Do not lose your tag or forget to wear it - nametags cannot be
replaced on-site.
- 2. Once you have received your registration packet and your nametag, you will need to check your packet for any SRC violation report. If required, proceed to the SRC room (located in the registration
area).
- 3. If you are not required to visit the SRC room, you may unload your project at the loading ramp on the north side of the building. (see map under "Venue"). If you need assistance, please
notify an EMTSEF volunteer or staff member.
Please note that the Arena floor (where the projects will be displayed) is accessible only to those wearing official EMTSEF event nametags.
- 4. Set up your project. If you need tools or supplies, Kellogg, Brown & Root has once again generously stocked a Supply Hub, located on the Arena Floor.
- 5. Proceed to the Display & Safety Hub, located at the center of the Arena Floor. Complete the provided D&S Inspection Form, and turn in to the D&S volunteer. Once you have turned in your form, wait
at your project until a D&S official has inspected your display. Please do not leave the United Spirit Arena until D&S has given your project its final approval sticker.
- 6. Opening Ceremonies will be held in the Practice Court at 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
