Step one: Get your Medical doctor to write on a prescription pad that you need a handicapped parking pass.
Step two: Take the prescription and your drivers’ license to the Lubbock County Tax Assessor. This is located at 916 Main Suite 102 in the Nations Bank building. Here you will pick up a State Disabled Plaque. You will be charged $5.00 for the plaque.
Step Three: Take the State disabled plaque to the Texas Tech Traffic and parking office located AT 2903 4th st. Suite 145 there phone number is 742-3811.
Their hours are, Summer 7:30-4:30, Semester hours are 8-5. You will have to purchase a TTU parking permit.

Alternate Parking Information:
If all the handicapped spaces are taken you can park in the designated AREA Reserved parking spaces. Please make sure to observe the signs because most lots have AREA Reserved spaces and Reserved spaces. If you park in a Reserved space, you will be towed. The signs will designate which are AREA Reserved and which are Reserved.
