- Brady, Texas
Hi my name is Taylor Neal. I consider myself a professional transfer student, I started
school at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and then transferred to McMurry University
in Abilene, Texas, and now I am here in Lubbock loving life at Texas Tech University!
As a former basketball player, I love anything athletic, and as an Accounting Major,
I love anything to do with numbers. I am happy to assist you with your transition
in any way that I'm can!
What do you love most about Texas Tech?
I love the community atmosphere of Texas Tech. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and even though there are tens of thousands of students, Texas Tech is a place that makes you feel right at home. Texas Tech brings people together through traditions, and makes you feel like you are a part of something so much bigger than yourself!
What advice would you give a new student?
Don't be shy! Embrace your new environment, and join in on all that is going on around you! You really don't want to miss an opportunity to be a part of Texas Tech University while you're here.
What is your future dream job?
My dream job is to be an accountant for a professional basketball team. I've always envisioned a Texas team (Go! Spurs! Go!), but I think I would be more than happy being around both basketball and accounting in any state. They're the two things I am most passionate about, and most interested in, and to combine them would just be the epitome of success to me!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Lubbock?
So aside from my usual generic favorite Chipotle (or even Moe's) - which you can find in most places - my favorite place to eat in Lubbock is Caprock Café. They have a queso burger that is to die for!
