Texas Tech University

The good news is that you don't have to run all over campus trying to get the information you need to get ready for next semester.

Come to the Ready.Set.Register. Fair to begin the planning process, all in one convenient location.

Goals of the Ready.Set.Register. Fair

  1. Make a Plan. The Ready.Set.Register. Fair provides students with an opportunity to meet with advisors and campus staff to prepare themselves to register for Fall 2017 classes. This can include advising, setting up advising appointments, learning how to remove holds, and more. (Similar to the fall Majors & Minors Fair)
  2. Discover Resources. The second goal of the R.S.R. Fair expands beyond academics to include access to co-curricular departments and resources that can ease the registration process for first- and second-year students. (Similar to the RRO Resource Fair).

How can the Fair help me?

Get Ready

The key to successful registration is planning. We encourage all students to seek advisement prior to registration. Advising is more than just choosing classes. Academic advisers assist students in developing intellectual potential and exploring educational opportunities and life goals. Many people in the campus community contribute to the advising process, including faculty, staff, students, and professional advisers.

Get Set

You can have the perfect schedule, but if you have Registration Holds or are without a Time Ticket, it won't do you any good.

Your assigned academic advisor is the only person authorized to issue a Time Ticket to you. And holds will prevent you from registering and can only be resolved by the office that created them.

Go Register

You Are Ready! Now that you've gone through some important elements of preparing for scheduling and registration with your advisor, you are ready to move forward. Students will register according to classification. Students will not be permitted to register prior to their assigned date.

Finally, don't forget about all the resources we have available to help you during the next semester, from financial assistance to tutoring to physical and mental wellness.
