Making Changes

We understand that sometimes your plans change.  We've made it easy to change your scheduled RRO session, add or remove registered guests, and even change your major and admit term.  Please carefully read the information below to learn how you can make these changes yourself.  If you have any questions, please contact us for assistance.

Please Note: changes can be made up to two business days prior to your scheduled Red Raider Orientation session.  Changes after that date can be made on-site during check-in.


Changing Session Dates

If you need to change any information after you have already registered for orientation, you can log back in to the registration system at any time.  Make your desired changes and save your new information.

Remember, there is no wait list for closed/full RRO sessions.  You can check back at any time to see if a session has opened.

CANCELLING GUESTS

Guest fees may be refunded up until May 1. After May 1, NO refunds will be given, even if you register a guest after May 1.

If you need to cancel a guest reservation:

  1. Log back in to the registration system
  2. Click on your guest's name
  3. Select "delete" at the bottom of the popup window.
  4. Then send an e-mail to redraiderorientation@ttu.edu notifying us of the cancellation so that we can process any refunds. Please note that refunds will be applied back to the same method of payment as the original charge and will be processed 7-10 days after your scheduled RRO session.

Guest fees may be refunded up until May 1. After May 1, NO refunds will be given, even if you register a guest after May 1.

Changing Your Major

Incorrect majors will not prevent you from registering for an RRO Session.  We encourage you to select and confirm a session date, THEN change your major.

To change your major:

  1. Log into your Raider Connect account at www.raiderconnect.ttu.edu 
    *This is different than the log in you use to register for RRO.
  2. Go to your "My Applications" tab
  3. Select Major Change
  4. Choose your desired major from the available options, then click save.

Please allow up to 48 hours to process this request.


 Note: Some majors are restricted, meaning you will only be allowed to select a major from the programs that you are qualified to enter. Please refer to information on admission requirements for specific colleges.

 

If you have been admitted to the University at the time of your request, the options for changing your major could be restricted due to additional requirements of some programs. You will be allowed to select a major from the programs that you are qualified to enter.

Changing Admit Terms

If you need to change the term for which you have been admitted, you will need to contact the Office of Admission to change your application term.  (For example, if you have been admitted for a fall term but would now like to come for a summer semester.)

Once your term has been changed by Admissions, please allow 24-48 hours for the change to be updated in the RRO Registration system. You will then be able to see the new RRO dates for your term.

Cancelling your RRO (Withdrawing from Texas Tech)

To cancel/withdraw your application and/or decline admission, please fill out this form through the Office of Admissions:

You should only withdraw if you NO LONGER PLAN TO ATTEND TTU. If you just need to reschedule your session, please see the information above about changing dates.

Once your application is withdrawn, your RRO session will automatically be cancelled. Please allow our office 7 to 10 business days to process the request to withdraw your application and cancel your RRO.

Refunds

Student RRO Fees are non-refundable.  These fees are charged to your tuition and fees AFTER you attend RRO, and cannot be paid in advance.  

Only optional fees guest fees paid in advance are eligible for refunds.

If you make any changes to your RRO registration that result in a refund, send an email to redraiderorientation@ttu.edu with your name, rNumber and reason refund is requested.  Please note: Changes made in the registration system will not automatically process or alert us of refunds. 

Refunds will be applied back to the same method of payment as the original charge and will be processed 7-10 days after your scheduled RRO session.
