Guest Registration

For First Year Students

To attend RRO, all you need to do is ask your student to register you as a guest when they register for their RRO session. This can always be modified up to a week before your student's RRO session.

If guests are added to a student's registration, the guest fees must be  paid up front. (Student RRO fees are paid later)

Guest fees may be refunded up until May 1.  After May 1, NO refunds will be given, even if you register a guest after May 1.

Guest Fees

We would like to invite you to attend Red Raider Orientation (RRO) as a guest with your student! While it is not mandatory that parents attend, we do highly encourage each student to have at least one guest attend with them.

Most of the time you will be with your student, but there are a few special breakout sessions just for parents and just for students.

Attending Parent/Family sessions during RRO will help you learn how to support your student to be successful in college, gain insight about campus services, discover how to become involved in the Texas Tech family, and provide an opportunity for you to meet faculty, administrators, staff and current students.

  • Adult Guests (13+ years old): $35 per guest
  • Siblings (8-12 years old): $25 per guest
  • Children (7 and under): Free

What does the guest fee cover?

Guest fees for Two-Day sessions cover program materials, Day 1 Dinner, bus tours, parking, and administrative and technology costs.

Adding Guests

To add guests to your student reservation, simply log into the RRO Registration system, on the Guest tab, click the green plus sign to enter your guest information in the pop up window.

If you need to add guests after you have registered for orientation, then you can log back in to the registration website in the same way and update your information at anytime.

You can add guests online up to TWO BUSINESS DAYS prior to your RRO session. We strongly recommend you do this in advance if you can to avoid waiting in line during your session.

Cancelling Guests

If you need to cancel a guest reservation, please log back in to the registration system, delete your guest information, and then send an email to redraiderorientation@ttu.edu notifying us of the changes. 

Guest fees may be refunded up until May 1. After May 1, NO guest fee refunds will be given, even if you register a guest after May 1.

Please note that refunds will be applied back to the same method of payment as the original charge and will be processed 7-10 days after your scheduled RRO session.
