Virtual Red Raider Orientation is exactly what is sounds like— an Orientation specifically designed for new TTU students. We'll give you all the information you need to feel confident when you step on campus for your first day of class. 

**If you've already registered for an orientation date, you don't need to register again. 

Prior to your scheduled date

RRO will be a busy time, so it's important to plan ahead to make sure you are ready for the program.

 

Complete VRRO Modules

Virtual RRO Modules will introduce you to the resources and services provided to you as a Texas Tech student. Modules open on May 26.

    

Verify Your Major

During your scheduled RRO session, you will meet with an academic advisor from the college that you were admitted into. If you are considering changing your major, it is recommended you do so before attending RRO to ensure that you get the most out of your advising and class registration sessions.

Remove Holds

We STRONGLY encourage you to take care of any registration holds you have prior to your RRO session to help ensure a smooth advising and registration process.

You can also view your holds when you log into the RRO registration system. Your holds, if any, are listed under the Questionnaire page, in the Student Information section.

  

TSI Testing & Advising

Students who are required to enroll in TSI courses will receive notification prior to your scheduled RRO session via your TTU email.  Please review the TSI advising page for additional details.

 

Check Your TTU Email

Almost all of the official communication from Texas Tech will be sent to your TTU email address (including information about RRO from your academic advisor).

You should begin regularly checking your TechMail to make sure you don't miss important information and reminders.
