Virtual RRO Fees

Student RRO Fee

Red Raider Orientation is a fee-based program and is not supported through your tuition dollars.

This fee is applied to your TTU billing account cannot be paid for in advance or at orientation.

  • Virtual RRO Student Fee: $60

Why is there still an RRO student fee?

The fee for Virtual Red Raider Orientation includes access to the online orientation modules, access to information and resources to help you be successful, materials and much more.

Students who complete online Red Raider Orientation modules will be assessed a non-refundable RRO fee, even if you do not ultimately register for or attend classes at Texas Tech University.

The RRO fee is added to your TTU billing account when you attend orientation and CANNOT be paid in advance or at orientation. You may visit www.sbs.ttu.edu to pay your TTU bill.

All fees are non-refundable, non-negotiable and cannot be discounted.

Guest Fees

Will there still be an RRO guest fee?

No. Red Raider Orientation has made the decision to provide Parent & Family/Guest programming free of charge for summer 2020. We will continue to provide programming, education, and involvement activities for parents, family members and guests. The Student RRO fee and associated expenses for the program are still under review.

We realize this is a difficult and unexpected situation that we are all navigating together. Our goal is to finalize applicable refunds for any Guest Fees as soon as possible.

Guest Fees that have already been paid will automatically be refunded. There is no need to contact us to request a Guest Fee refund. We will be in touch with you once your refund has been processed. Refunds will be applied to the same method of payment as the original charge and will be processed 7-10 days after you have been notified of the refund.

Should I still register my guest for Red Raider Orientation?

Yes. Virtual Red Raider Orientation will still provide opportunities for Parents and Family Members/Guests to be engaged and educated about Texas Tech University and the programs and services available to students. While Red Raider Orientation will look different, we still want you involved and connected. We are committed to providing you the information you need to help support your student and their success as a Red Raider!
