FAQs

Please review this page to find answers to our most commonly asked questions about becoming a Transfer Ambassador.

What kinds of activities would I be doing as a Transfer Ambassador?

Transfer Ambassadors get to do fun and intentional planning and relationship building. They assist with planning and implementing of Transfer Connection meetup events, plan Transfer Welcome Week events, present on the Transfer Connection program and events, table at various campus wide resource fairs and RRO, and provide peer mentoring opportunities to transfer students via phone and email to offer support and answer questions.

What if I want to work as a Transfer Ambassador for the summer?

We prefer Transfer Ambassadors that can work summer hours! During the summer, Transfer Ambassadors will give presentations and table at orientation sessions, and make calls and send emails to incoming transfer students.

Who else would I work with as a part of the Transfer Ambassador team?

As a Transfer Ambassador, you also work for Student Development & Engagement (SD&E). This area houses many different student services and as a part of this team, you would often be asked to serve several areas of students and programs on campus. Transfer Ambassadors get to work with Peer Mentors and professional staff from First Gen Transition & Mentoring Programs, College Readiness, University Coaching & Student Achievement, Student Engagement, Parent and Family Relations, and Retention Management & Innovation.
