Red Raider Showcase is Tech’s premiere campus-wide talent show. This tradition will showcase a variety of acts including dancing, music, and skits performed by student organizations and individual performers. Red Raider Showcase prides itself in choosing diverse and talented acts to produce the most entertaining show possible.

Auditions will be Wednesday, March 2 in the SUB Senate Room; beginning at 6:00 pm.

Rules & Regulations


First Place: Free Textbooks for College Life from Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Texas Tech Student Union Building. Limited to students' undergraduate career only. [For acts with more than one group member, the value of the prize awarded will be
divided between group members.]

Second Place: $500 Barnes & Noble gift card. [For acts with more than one group member, the value of the prize awarded will be
divided between group members.]


Judge Biographies

Skiler Miller
Skiler Miller has been in the Texas Tech system for seven years.  She is a graduate of Angelo State with a Bachelor in Communication specializing in Public Relations and received her Master’s degree last year in Higher Education. Skiler is a native New Yorker, but grew up in Dallas, Texas.  She is currently working as the Unit Coordinator in the Office of Recruitment for the College of Human Sciences.  Previously, she was a Graduate Assistant in Student Union and Activities working with the Tech Activities Board.  On a personal note, as a young child, she studied acting at KD Studios and appeared in several plays.  She loves to sing and sang with Sesame Street’s Maria during Easter at the White House and appeared on Sesame Street.  She competed on a regional level in her High School choir receiving first place as a soloist. While at Angelo State, she was a member of the Concert Chorale for several years.

Ben Sharp
Ben is a senior economics major from Borger, TX. He will serve Texas Tech as Student Body President for the 2016-2017 school year. He is also involved on campus in Beta Upsilon Chi and the Student Alumni Board, but enjoys reading and running in his spare time.

Paloma Herrera
Paloma an Assistant Department Manager here at the book store going on 2 years. This is her 2nd time judging the Red Raider showcase. She has participated in other Texas Tech Events events such as Tech or Treat and TAB events like Open Mic Night/ Karaoke Night. I enjoy being able to do thing for the campus on behalf Barnes & Noble.
