How Does TSI Work?
TSI students register for TSI classes when they register during their normal registration. Students meet with a TSI Advisor before registration and seek guidance from the TSI Advisor regarding academic difficulties.
Students enroll in TSI Courses just like any other coursework at Texas Tech University. A student cannot take more than one TSI course at a time and courses must be taken in the sequence as recommended by the TSI Staff and Faculty.
Students within the TSI Program have access to individual advising by a TSI Academic Advisor. Students are able to meet with this advisor to answer questions about Texas Tech, find help with academic coursework, and seek guidance on how to succeed in college classes.
The TSI Advisor only sees students that are in TSI classes, so students receive individualized recommendations based on individual needs of TSI students.
