Hi, my name is Megan Holmberg, and I am a senior nutrition and dietetics major. I am from the Houston area and have been a tutor with the TECHniques Center for three semesters. I will graduate from Texas Tech University in May and plan to complete a year long internship, before becoming a registered dietitian.
I choose to attend Tech after visiting the campus and learning about the various programs offered. I have enjoyed my time in Lubbock, and I am fortunate to have had the chance to spend the last three and a half years here.
I began working at the TECHniques Center because I enjoy teaching others, and I love that I get the opportunity to help students reach their academic goals. Its always fun to get to know my students and encourage them throughout the semester. I am passionate about my own major, and my hope is that my students can find a career path they love as well.
Tutoring at the Techniques Center is a rewarding experience, where I learn just as much from my students as I hope they learn from me.
I feel lucky to work in such a positive environment that advocates for students and emphasizes the importance of education and perseverance.
I truly love working at the Texas Tech TECHniques Center because I see the importance behind the program and the influence it has on both students and tutors alike. |
