The TECHniques Center-Academic Counseling
The role of the TECHniques counselors is to assist students in their academic success through individualized services and structures. Ongoing communication between students, parents, faculty, tutors, TECHniques counselors, staff, and other involved Texas Tech departments is imperative in providing individual TECHniques students with the support and assistance they need to be successful.
Support from Staff:
- Accountability and guidance in using strategies for academic success
- Supplemental academic and career advising
- Referrals to campus resources and services and co-curricular involvement opportunities
- Open communication with tutors, parents, faculty, and staff
- Academic
performance monitoring through use of grade checks sent to faculty of enrolled courses
