Bachelor of Arts - Theatre Arts
For those students interested in an intense liberal arts education. Broad exposure to the various elements of theatre arts prepares students for further study at the graduate level or for careers in the professional theatre, secondary education, or any number of careers that build on the skills and discipline of the performing arts. A minor in theatre arts is also available.
Bachelor of Arts in Dance
Focusing on comprehensive training in various dance styles and histories, the degree in dance seeks to prepare students for careers in professional dance, education, or the humanities. Courses in choreography, pedagogy, dance history, and theatrical production complement technique classes in ballet, modern, jazz, improvisation, and partnering. A minor in dance is also available.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts
With this pre-professional degree, students can emphasize acting or theatrical design (scenery, lights, or costume). Application to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program involves an audition or portfolio review, evidence of scholarly and creative achievement, and potential for excellence in the field. Acceptance into the program and continuation are dependent upon the student's continued growth, sense of professionalism, and commitment to the art.
