Dr. Dsauza is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialization in addiction and
eating disorders. She is currently investigating food addiction and binge eating disorder.
Within these areas she is examining gender differences, family functioning, history
of addiction and mental illness. To conduct these studies she uses a variety of techniques
that include quantitative and qualitative analyses, and hopes to begin using FNIR
technology in the near future. Dsauza received her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy
from Texas Tech University in 2013. Prior to joining the ADRS program, she was a Postdoctoral
Research Associate in the Department of Community, Family and Addiction Services.
