SERVER SUPPORT



TOSM Server Support hosts a SQL Server cluster that houses day-old data from TechFIM, TecHRis, TechPAY, Budget and TechSIS. This information is downloaded from the mainframe on a nightly basis. In order to access this data on our SQL Server cluster, the following must be true:
  1. In order to set up data source connections, you must have the following access on the mainframe corresponding to the system you wish to access. If changes have recently been requested, it can take up to two business days for these changes to be propagated to our SQL Server cluster.

        TechFIM.................TFQUERY
        TecHRis..................TRQUERY
        TechPAY.................PYQUERY
        BUDGET..................BDQUERY
        TechSIS.................SISFOCUS

  2. The PC you will be using to access the data must be logged on to the TTU domain using your eRaider username and password OR logged on to HSC7LAN domain using your HSC7LAN username and password.

    NOTE: If you are using a HSC7LAN account and have received confirmation that your mainframe access has been granted, you'll need to send an email to serversupport.tosm@ttu.edu containing your full name, your SSN and your HSC7LAN username. This information is required to link mainframe accounts to users on the HSC7LAN domain.   3. Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional is recommended. If you are running Windows 2000 Professional, you must download and install MDAC version 2.7 or greater. Windows XP Professional ships with MDAC 2.7, so no other changes to MDAC are necessary. Click here to download MDAC 2.8.
