Curriculum Vitae

Christopher Corona is the Assistant Director of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) within the Support Operations for Academic Retention (SOAR) department. In his position, Christopher is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Texas Success Initiative department and loves working with and for students. Prior to working in higher education, Christopher served in the United States Navy from 1997-2006 as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman (Hospital Corpsman) and achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). He was stationed at Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, HI; Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA; and Camp Pendleton, CA. He returned home to finish his education and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Higher Education at Texas Tech University. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, loves Red Raider sports, and Texas Tech University. Guns Up and Wreck'EM Tech!


Paul Pierce

Curriculum Vitae

Paul Pierce served on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board TSI Assessment Standard Setting Committee and has been teaching mathematics for over 20 years. He holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Texas Tech University. He has taught a range of courses, covering basic math to Calculus I. He has taught at Texas Tech University, Midwestern State University, and South Plains College. Paul is currently the TSI Mathematics Instructor at Texas Tech University. He has also published multiple textbooks on developmental mathematics.

Curriculum Vitae

Osariemen Osaghae served on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board TSI Assessment Item Review Team as a faculty member who reviewed the items on the new TSI Assessment. She has taught in higher education for five years. Osariemen holds a Master's in Education from Texas Tech University. Currently, she is working on her dissertation with a projected defense of August 2014.


Christine Hunt

Christine Hunt is originally from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development. Before Christine attended TCU she danced as a professional ballerina with ballet companies across the United States. Such as Texas Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet, Ballet West, Kirov Ballet Academy and Pacific Northwest Ballet companies, to name a few, before attending TCU. During her time at TCU, Christine continued her professional career in ballet dancing with Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth. She also danced with the TCU dance department, was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and worked as a research assistant in the Neuroscience and Child Development lab. She has presented her research at the Texas Christian University Research Symposium and at the Society for Neuroscience Convention and has been published in the journal of Neuroscience. Christine lives in Lubbock with her husband who currently attends TTUHSC School of Medicine. Although, Christine has retired from dancing professionally she currently teaches at Christmann Academy of Dance and Ballet Lubbock. After Christine obtains her Master's degree, she is planning on pursuing her Ph.D in Sports Medicine.


Cheyenne Belew

Cheyenne Belew graduated from Texas Tech University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She hails from Sweetwater, Texas, home of the Rattlesnake Round-up. Cheyenne, a first generation graduate, enjoys talking to and helping students toward academic success. Prior to working at Texas Tech, Cheyenne worked in the retail field where she realized how much she enjoys problem solving and working with people. She and her fiance, Preston, are both avid readers and enthusiastic Red Raider fans.
