July 17, 2006 – Texas Tech announces the creation of the Texas Tech University T-STEM Center for the support and research of K-12 science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.
July 13, 2006 – The Texas Education Agency announces recipients of the T-STEM program. Texas Tech is notified that their proposal has been awarded funding to create the Texas Tech University T-STEM Center.
June 21, 2006 – Texas Tech interviews with the Texas Education Agency in Austin as one of twenty grant finalists. Their presentation includes an overview of their proposal and a question and answer period with the selection committee.
June 15, 2006 – The Texas Education Agency notifies Texas Tech that their proposal has been selected as a finalist. Texas Tech is invited to Austin for an interview.
May 18, 2006 – Texas Tech delivers it’s T-STEM Center proposal to the Texas Education Agency for consideration. Following a first round of reviews, proposals scoring 70 or better will be invited to Austin to interview with the selection committee in June.
April 28, 2006 – The Texas Education Agency announces a Request for Applications for a new T-STEM Center grant.
