Seamless Automotive Technology
Interested in an automotive career and don’t know where to begin? Start with the Seamless Automotive Technology Program.
Designed to provide unique educational and career pathways for individual students, the Seamless Automotive Technology Program allows high-school students to participate in automotive programs without limiting their opportunities to pursue higher education. The Program allows students the flexibility to exit and re-enter the program at various points. After completing different levels of education, students have the choice to join the workforce with essential knowledge and skills needed to be competitive. These skills may also be used to continue their college careers.
The Seamless Automotive Technology Program is an educational blueprint emphasizing creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. Laboratory experiences and vehicle research projects provide students with hands-on, real-world experience that keep students enthusiastic about their career. Faculty and advisors from the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center, South Plains College Technical Educational Division and the Texas Tech University College of Engineering answer student’s questions and help each student find their unique career path.
The Seamless Automotive Technology Program was developed by Texas Tech University Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering, South Plains College, the Lubbock Independent School District and the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance.
