Using Measurement for Precise Programming

The time for guess and check and relying on seconds is over. Robots in the real world require more precise directions and programming. In this section, teachers will be introduced to more precise programming skills by using tools available on the NXT brick as well as applying measurement skills. We will explore the built in measurement device on the NXT brick to calculate rotations and degrees of rotations of the robot wheels. We will explore finding rotations needed to make specific turns, i.e. 90° right turn, using hands on measurement experiments as well as calculations.
