Professional Development Workshop Catalog


The Texas Tech T-STEM Center offers a significant number of professional development workshops and enrichment learning opportunities for schools. These encompass a range of topics and research-driven academic content using the engineering design process and best practice instructional methods to manage project-based teaching and learning in the classroom. Teachers and administrators from any school and all grade levels, as well as other formal and informal educational providers, are welcome to contact us about providing professional development at your location.

The Texas Tech T-STEM Center is currently conducting research on how to better serve the
K-12 education community in STEM education. A portion of each workshop will involve voluntary participation in a pre/post test and a workshop evaluation.

Onsite Requirements for Schools
  • Guarantee at least six teachers to participate in workshop.
  • Provide training classroom for workshop.
  • Provide possible lab access depending on workshop content.
  • Provide technology needs for workshop — call to discuss.
  • Cost: $500 per day plus travel for instructor and training resources (i.e., robotics kits, rocketry supplies, etc.)
  • Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC), Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from Texas Tech University available — charges apply.
  • NOTE: Number of days of training can be customized to your needs.
  • NOTE: Workshops indicated with an asterisk (*) are only available on the Texas Tech University campus.
