Federal law requires that we make, keep and maintain a daily log, written in a form that can be easily understood, recording all crimes reported to our department. The log should include the nature, date, time and general location of each crime and the disposition of the complaint, if known. This law requires that this initial information be open for public inspection within two business days of the report of the crime unless the release of the information would jeopardize an ongoing invesitgation, cause the suspect to flee or result in the destruction of evidence.

The crime logs are captured from 6:00 am to 6:00 am the following day. For example, crime entry for 2:00am on October 5, 2000 would appear on the daily log for the previous day even though it happened after midnight.
Information prior to September 1, 2005 is not available for the El Paso Campus.
