Information Day Scheduled for Texas Tech University's Bachelor's Degree offered in Cisco
November 09, 2010
On Dec. 7, 2010 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Texas Tech University's University College will hold an information day for students interested in the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies (B.G.S.)or Bachelor of University Studies (B.U.S.), which can be either a bachelor of arts or science. Both degree programs will be offered in through a partnership with Cisco College beginning Spring 2011.
The Information Day will allow prospective students to meet with advisors to learn more about the degree program, get answers to any questions they have and learn how their previously earned credits can apply toward a Texas Tech University bachelor's degree. Cisco College students who are interested in pursuing a Texas Tech University degree are strongly encouraged to visit the come-and-go event because it will be the only opportunity to register for Spring 2011 online courses.
The degree programs Texas Tech University plans to offer in Cisco are unique because each allows students to choose three areas of concentration rather than the traditional major and minor. The resulting degree program is a unique combination, individualized to fit personal academic or career goals. Based on the unique needs of each student, University College advisors can determine which degree program will be a better fit.
Texas Tech University, in partnership with Cisco Community College, will offer the programs through a combination of online, face-to-face and Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) delivery methods.
Prospective students can learn more about the Information Day and the bachelor's degree programs at www.bgs.ttu.edu or by calling 806.742.7200.
