Rebecca, a TTUISD student from Pampa, Texas, is a very busy 14-year-old. She has been playing the piano for seven years and recently began organ and voice lessons. Rebecca is also in a sewing class and very involved with her church youth group.

Rebecca’s mom, Beverly, said that they wanted Rebecca to have the best when it came to her studies and wanted her to be flexible with her schedule. They were able to find just what they were looking for through TTUISD.

"I would have to say the main reason for choosing TTUISD was because my husband and I felt it was an alternative education, not an alternative to education," Beverly said. "I greatly appreciate the teachers and the help they provide."

Rebecca has been involved with TTUISD for two years and is very motivated according to her mother. This motivation is reflected in her studies as well as her extracurricular activities.

"Because of TTUISD, I am able to travel, shop, take piano, organ and voice lessons during regular school hours," Rebecca said. She participates in youth retreats, camps and lock-ins with her church and travels with her family without the restraint of traditional school.
