University College Announces Change in Non-semester-based Course Enrollments

January 08, 2010

Beginning in March 1, 2010, Texas Tech University's University College will begin phasing out non-semester-based college course offerings.

Transition Plan

March 1, 2010
1. Non-degree-seeking students will no longer be able to enroll in non-semester-based courses. These students will still be able to take online semester-based courses but would first need to apply to Texas Tech as a Visiting Student (Non-degree-seeking Student). View a list of online semester-based courses.

2. Students currently pursuing a degree through Texas Tech will be directed to online semester-based courses; however, if the desired course is not available in a semester-based online format, students will be able to enroll in non-semester-based courses using the attached enrollment form. The student's advisor must sign the enrollment form. The student will then submit the completed form to University College's Advising Center.

3. All information regarding non-semester-based courses will be removed from the University College's Website.

September 1, 2010
University College will no longer accept enrollments in non-semester-based courses.
