Kellyn Schneider, B.S. Sports Management

Kellyn Schneider is the Assistant Director for the UIL Office at Texas Tech University. She is from Lubbock, Texas and received her Bachelor of Science/Sport Management from Lubbock Christian University while participating on the Women's Basketball team. Her LCU basketball team won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2016. Prior to joining the UIL team, she worked in the Texas Tech Athletic Department for the Event Management team as a Post-Graduate Intern. Her duties in the UIL Office include organizing UIL high school regional athletic events as well as assisting with the planning of academic events. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball, sand volleyball and traveling with her family and friends.

Jack Barton, B.S. Education
Jack is from Gatesville, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1973 with a BS in Education. Mr. Barton has taught math in LISD from 1973 until 2009. He was the UIL math coach from 1976 to 2011 and also the UIL coordinator at the same time. He wrote number sense tests for the Texas Math Science Coaches Association for 25 years.He has worked with TTU-UIL since 2010, organizing "Fall Fandango", "Christmas at Tech", "Fearless Champions", and the summer camp "What's Your Problem?".
Karen Ray, B.S. Theatre and Kinesiology

Karen Kyle Ray graduated from Texas Tech with a BS in Theatre and Kinesiology. She later added an education certification in five fields. Karen developed a Fine Arts Magnet program and successfully led that program for twenty years, during which she was selected as the LISD Teacher of the Year. After retirement from public school, she has continued to grow the UIL Theatre programs through development of a Director's Workshop for this Region and a two-week summer Acting and Technical Camp for students. She is a contest manager for many plays in all levels of the region, as well as the 4A and 5A Regional contests at Tech. In 2018, Karen received the first Service Award that has been given by the Texas Theatre Adjudicators and Officials, the state governing body for officials of UIL Theatre.

Sabrina Pedroza joined the Texas Tech UIL office in January of 2020. Sabrina is from O'Donnell, Texas and throughout high school she was heavily involved in UIL Speech & Debate. She is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Secondary English Education. Sabrina enjoys reading, attending musicals, keeping up with politics, and taking care of her animals.
