University of New Mexico Post-Baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP)
PREP is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded program designed to enhance the ability of under-represented minority post-baccalaureate students in the biomedical sciences/engineering to gain entry to, and succeed in, nationally-recognized Ph.D. programs. Seeking recent (or May 2010) college graduates in the following fields (Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical & Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Psychology, and related fields). Scholars are resquired to perform research for one full year with their faculty mentor.

2010 National Network for Environmental Management Studies Fellowship Program
Undergraduate students in academic programs related to the field of environmental protection, such as pollution control, science, engineering, technology, social science, and specialty areas.
Under the NNEMS program, a range of fellowship activities are offered to help students increase their knowledge of environmental issues while refining their professional skills. Each year, the NNEMS program offers approximately 30 to 40 fellowships, developed and sponsored by EPA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and in EPA’s 10 regional offices and laboratories throughout the United States.

THC Preservation Fellows Program
The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is seeking student applicants for its Preservation Fellows Program to promote student interest in pursuing fields of study in history, preservation, architecture, landscape architecture, archaeology, downtown revitalization, and heritage tourism. Fellows receive a $5,000 stipend for eight weeks of employment under the supervision of the THC.

Society for Research on Adolescence: 2010 Young Scholars Program
The SRA is now accepting scholar applications for the 2010 Young Scholars Program. The Program is intended to encourage and support junior and senior undergrads from underrepresented ethnic minority groups from the US to pursue graduate work and careers in adolescent development.

2010 Barbara Jordan Health Policy Scholars Program
Eligible Candidates must be U.S. Citizens who will be seniors or recent graduates (less than 2 years) of an accredited U.S. college or university. Graduate students and individuals with an advanced degree are not eligible to apply. $7,500 in support which includes: 1) a stipend of $2,000 upon successful completion of the program, 2) a daily expense allowance for meals and local transportation, 3) transportation/airfare to and from Washington, D.C. and 4) lodging at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

BRAIN 2010
The Atlanta-based BRAIN program invites applications for Fellows who would like to participate in a 10-week summer research program. This program provides full room and board plus a stipend. Those eligible to apply are undergraduates and recent post-bacs who are enthusiastic, hard working, detail oriented, and who want to engage in cutting edge neuroscience research. Some accepted Fellows will be working at the molecular or cellular level in laboratories, others will be working with small animals and some may be collecting data and doing research at outdoor field sites. Be a part of an exciting summer research experience!
