The 2012 Undergraduate Research Conference is a weeklong celebration for undergraduate students to present scholarly research at Texas Tech University and to showcase the contributions of undergraduate research throughout the nation. The event is part of an ongoing mission to support and promote scholarly research and scholarship by providing undergraduate research opportunities for students and faculty at Texas Tech University. Presentations represent talented undergraduate students enrolled or students who have graduated from a general academic institution in the previous year.

Registration for the TTU Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) is now open.  Please follow the appropriate registration link below.We look forward to your participation in the conference! Note: Forms are hosted on Google Docs and require an active Internet connection to access.

Ethics Conference

Registration for the Ethics Conference will be opening soon and requires completing a separate registration form, which will be available at http://www.tltc.ttu.edu/content/asp/conferences/rcr/index.asp

To receive the conference rate contact the hotel front desk: 806.765.8900 and mention the group rate code: "CUR Conference." The group rate available is: $77 for a queen suite or $105 for a king suite between Sunday, April 15 – Thursday, April 19, 2012 for conference attendees.  The group rate will close two weeks before the conference, early reservations are recommended.

 

General Submission and Event Participation Requirements

TTU Abstracts due by March 7, 2012 (see Deadlines for details). Additional resources for submission guidelines, such as previous years' abstract books, and more detailed explanations regarding submission requirements are available on this page.

  1. Research must have been completed under the guidance of a faculty member.
  2. The research project must be of sufficient quality to be presented at a professional academic meeting.
  3. Students will be required to attend the event at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and present their research in a poster, paper or oral presentation format.
