Andrea McCourt, Ph.D. - Program Director: Human Resource Development

I have lived in Lubbock and been part of the Texas Tech community for fifteen years. During that time I earned a Masters degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs and a doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been teaching for Texas Tech for over ten years. I have also worked in the Dean of Students Office at Texas Tech coordinating the campus access program for students with disabilities, as a teaching consultant/learning assessment specialist in the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center, and as an Associate Director in the Office of Planning and Assessment. I have been with University Studies since September 2011. I am currently developing a new academic program in Human Resource Development.
On a personal note, I have been married for twelve years. My husband and I have two young daughters that keep us busy. We also have two very spoiled dogs (a male Akita named Apollo and a female Akita puppy named Koa). When I have spare time I enjoy reading, walking/hiking, scuba diving and traveling. I am also a sports fan, and love to attend Tech games.
