2016 Brings Another Round of Faculty Proposal Development Modules

The Office of Research & Innovation is happy to announce the next round of Faculty Proposal Development opportunities. The Faculty Proposal Development Event Series will consist of four modules corresponding to the various stages of proposal development, which can be taken separately by faculty with different experience levels, or in sets to help guide faculty through the proposal process.

The first module focuses on finding funding opportunities and resources which targets new faculty and investigators who are new to the proposal submission process.

The second module focuses on the development of proposal ideas, targeting early investigators.

The third module focuses revising a proposal that was submitted and declined, and preparing a proposal for initial submission, and emphasizes tailored, hands-on activities; this module targets early and more experienced investigators.

The fourth module is a mock review for investigators who see feedback on a full proposal before it is submitted to the agency.

All of these modules consist of hands-on activities designed to engage faculty to apply the workshop directly to specific proposals they are developing. Module 1 will occur in January, with Modules 2 and 3 in June and Module 4 in August 2016.
