Arzu Ozbek Akay

Director of Research Programming

Arzu Ozbek Akay serves as the Director of Research Programming for the Office of the Vice President for Research. In this position, she leads the software development process for divisional web application initiatives. She also is responsible for comprehensive reporting of research metrics for the university.

Before joining Tech, Arzu served as a member of the Data Services team for NTS Communications. She was responsible for managing and implementing migration and integration projects through all phases of project life cycle that achieve business objectives of Data Services to reduce operating expenses, improve customer satisfaction, scale down administrative overhead and system complexity and increase productivity.

She earned her Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University in 2003. She holds Project Management Professional credential from PMI.
