Anna ThomasYoung
Sr. Proposal Development Administrator
Anna Thomas Young currently serves as the Senior Proposal Development Administrator for the Research Development Team (RDT) in the Office of the Vice President for Research. In this role, she works with faculty to develop large, multi-disciplinary proposals to federal agencies and corporate foundations. Anna also works with regional, state and national partners to further develop collaborative teams to advance and achieve the strategic goals championed by the university.
Anna joined the OVPR in August 2011. Prior to this, she has served TTU for almost six years through the Center for Undergraduate Research and the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery. A graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies and a master’s in education, she currently is pursuing a doctorate in education.
Anna is an active volunteer and advocate for children with diabetes through the American Diabetes Association and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock. Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. An avid runner and hunter/fisherman, she spends most of her free time outdoors.
