Senior Proposal Development Administrator
Carrie Romo currently serves as Senior Proposal Development Administrator for the Research Development Team (RDT) in the Office of the Vice President for Research. In this role, she works with faculty to develop large, multi-disciplinary proposals to federal agencies and corporate foundations. Romo also works with regional, state and national partners to further develop collaborative teams to advance and achieve the strategic goals championed by the university.
Romo received her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, in 1998 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She worked in independent and hospital laboratories in Austin and Lubbock as a Medical Technologist until starting law school in 2002. Carrie received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law in May of 2005 and began working at Timberlake, Weaver and Sharp, P.C. as an associate attorney. Her law practice primarily included real property title exams, estate and probate administration, and transactional document preparation.
