Kristina Woods Butler

Associate Director, Research and Academic Communications

Kristina Woods Butler serves as Associate Director for Research and Academic Communications in the Office of the Vice President for Research. In this role, she creates content for the vice president for research Website and subsequent sites, Texas Tech Discoveries online research magazine, and other research communications.

Kristina graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in English and a minor in music. She worked as a production assistant at HealthNet before moving to KLBK-TV/KAMC-TV, where she spent more than six years working as editor, photographer, producer and assignment manager for the news department.

Before moving to the Office of the Vice President for Research, Kristina spent two years as a Web content developer in the Office of Communications & Marketing, where she worked on Texas Tech Today Daily News, the Texas Tech Today monthly e-newsletter, and other university Websites.
