In this position she assists the VPR and Tech Transfer with policy-making decisions concerning the research infrastructure of the university and directs the day-to-day operation of the Office of Research Services.

Amy Cook serves as Senior Administrator of Research Services for the Office of Research Services. In her role she writes and reviews contracts, subcontracts and agreements; negotiates awards; resolves questions from sponsors and investigators; monitors technical reporting; and maintains and supports database application.

Emily Everette serves as Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of Research Services. In her role she assists the Senior Associate Vice President for Research in addition to handling appointments, travel and various duties.

Brittney Moore

Brittney Moore serves as Lead Specialist for the Office of Research Services. In this role, she inputs proposal and compliance information into the database, conducts monthly reporting, and maintains miscellaneous agreements. Additionally, she assists faculty members with inquiries and generating reports.

Cindal Peterson

Cindal Peterson serves as Senior Business Assistant for the Office of Research Services. In this role, she is the first point of contact for the office. Cindal provides office support such as handling personnel action forms and data entry for the office, as well as workshop registration, declinations and travel.

Laura Bilbao serves as Sr. Analyst for the Pre-Award Team in the Office of Research Services. In this role she works with faculty members to develop budgets for proposals, checks proposals for completeness and prepares them for mailing to agencies.

Cory L. Blackwell serves as an Analyst II for the Office of Research Services. In his role as a pre-award team member, he works with faculty/staff/students to develop budgets for their proposals, check proposals for completeness and prepare them for submission to different agencies.

Abdul Nayeem Mohammed

Abdul Nayeem Mohammed is a Graduate Student Assistant for the Office of Research Services. He serves as IT support, which includes developing and hosting web applications, and maintenance and troubleshooting of PC hardware and software. Nayeem plans to graduate in December of 2013 with a Master's in computer science.

Shayne Sims serves as Lead Analyst for the Pre-Award Team in the Office of Research Services. In this position she assists faculty, staff and students in preparing and submitting proposals for sponsored projects. She provides administrative support in completing the research proposal and provides budget support and review for proposals submitted.

Colette Solpietro serves as the Manager of the Proposal Services Team for the Office of Research Services. In this role, she assists faculty with proposal preparation, budget review, and proposal submission to sponsors.

Heather L. Thomas serves as an Analyst II in the Office of Research Services. In her role as Pre-award administrator she works with faculty members to develop budgets for their proposals, checks proposals for completeness and prepares them for mailing to agencies. She obtains additional approvals, as necessary, from the Chancellor and the TTU Board of Regents. She also assists in monthly preparation of reports and assists with training.

In her position she is post-award administrator for the Rawls College of Business Administration, Colleges of Visual & Performing Arts, Arts & Sciences, Mass Communications, as well as the High Performance Computing Center, ICASALS, Institutional Diversity, Texas Tech Libraries, Museum of Texas Tech, the President's Office, the Texas Tech Neuroimaging Center, and the Vietnam Center.

James serves as the office legal researcher, assisting with legal issues and research on background case law, statutes, and regulations as they pertain to various Texas Tech contracts and grants. James is currently enrolled in the Texas Tech School of Law, where he is working on receiving his Juris Doctor.
